Luke Cain, former football player, dead at 33
Former Syracuse linebacker Luke Cain has died, per a tweet from his former coach Jonathan Jackowski. Cain played at Syracuse from 2003 until 2006. Cain was 33 years old.

Cain stared three games in his sophomore year and 11 games in his senior year. He was featured on special teams his first season, and recorded the first solo sack of his career as a senior.
Cain was from Washington, D.C. and played high school at Dunbar (Washington, D.C.) High School, where he was the D.C. Area Gatorade Player of the Year.
Per a report from CNY Central in 2012, Cain was living at a homeless shelter in Syracuse. He had finished five classes short of receiving a degree from Syracuse.
