After tallying five goals and three assists in two Syracuse wins last week, junior attack Emily Hawryschuk has been named ACC Offensive Player of the Week.
Hawryschuk, who earned First Team All-ACC honors last season after leading Syracuse with 61 points, started her week with three points against Coastal Carolina. She tied her career-high and tied for the team lead in assists with two versus the Chanticleers, also pouring in a second-half goal.
On Sunday against No. 5 Northwestern, Hawryschuk was face-guarded to open the game but still scored a hat trick in the first half. After being held scoreless in the second, the Victor native dropped in the game-winning goal in overtime.
Through five games, Hawryschuk has picked up where she left off last season and leads the Orange with 20 points. Her 14 goals lead the team and her six assists place her second.
