Dyaisha Fair was waived by the Las Vegas Aces, the team announced Sunday. Fair appeared in just one of the Aces’ first four games this season. She was the team’s highest draft choice when she was selected No. 16 in the 2024 WNBA Draft.

The Aces are defending back-to-back WNBA Champions and bolster a stacked backcourt unit. Still, fellow rookie Kate Martin — who was selected No. 18 after playing at Iowa from 2019-24 — is averaging 21.0 minutes per game across three contests.
Aces General Manager Natalie Williams told The Daily Orange that she was “excited” to get Fair into the team’s training camp and that she envisioned a role where Fair could be a microwave scorer off the bench.
Fair averaged 22.2 points per game throughout her five-year collegiate career en route to becoming the third-highest scorer in Women’s Division I history. Fair can now be claimed by any of the other 11 WNBA teams. If she goes unclaimed, she’ll become a free agent.
