Syracuse will participate in the inaugural Emerald Coast Classic women’s basketball tournament, the team announced Thursday. The tournament takes place November 25-26 at Northwest Florida State College in Niceville, Florida.

The tournament will contain two separate brackets – the Bay Bracket and Beach Bracket. Joining the Orange in the Beach Bracket are Creighton, Missouri and Wichita State. Alabama, Alabama State, Clemson and UAB round out the Bay Bracket.

The Emerald Coast Classic began in 2014, only hosting a men’s field until this upcoming season.

SU played its early-season tournament in the 2023-24 season at the South Point Shootout in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Orange defeated both Northern Iowa and Iowa State in their two games at the round robin tournament.
