Syracuse midfielder Willemijn Boogert was named to the Preseason All-Atlantic Coast Conference Team, the conference announced Tuesday. Boogert was the only SU player named to the team.

Boogert is coming off of a strong junior season, in which she finished with a career-best in points (18). She will look to continue her hot streak after an impressive ACC Tournament where she scored a goal against Virginia while also notching three total points.

In 2023, Boogert finished with the fourth-most goals, assists and points for SU. She also had the best shooting percentage and the third-best shot-on-goal percentage.

This season, Boogert is set to play an even more significant role with the Orange. Eefke van den Nieuwenhof, Pieke van de Pas and Charlotte de Vries all graduated, leaving Boogert as one of the most experienced players on the team’s roster.
